Do you know about the Pledge Class of the Week?
Every student at Prairie has the opportunity to say the pledge over the PA during morning announcements.  Each homeroom class is assigned two weeks during the school year when a different small group of students come to the office to say the pledge.  The kids really love being apart of this patriotic school routine.  We end announcements every day with our joke of the day for which students always enjoy delivering the punch line.  The joke of the day has been a Prairie tradition for many, many years.

Look whose name was pulled this week from the WOW bucket
Grade 1: Jaden R.
Grade 2: Alex Z., Katelyn R., Jacob H.
Grade 3: Sunny Y., Amy G., Hajin J.
Grade 4: Ben F., Rushil V.
Grade 5: Andrew L., Ethan M.

News from our Technology Coach, Mrs. Kieser
We have an exciting year ahead of us here at Prairie. With new technology, web-based tools, google docs, and apps being introduced in the classrooms, students are well on their way to lots of fun learning. My role as Prairie's technology coach is to build the capacity of teachers to integrate technology into classroom instruction.  I also help develop 21st century learning skills within all students.  Please be sure to stop by my blog this year where you can get tech tips and learn about what your child is doing with technology. Also, please never hesitate to contact me with questions or comments!
